Most of you won't recognize this actor or remember the original "Dark Shadows," but some of my earliest "TV" memories are of rushing home after school to catch that day's episode. I also remember my sister writing an angry letter to the local newspaper protesting its cancellation. I was lucky enough to see Frid in his national tour of "Arsenic and Old Lace." Good actor, criminally underused...

The feature film version is one of the great, unsung horror classics of the 1970's and stands on its own (without seeing a single episode of the series...)
